Abigail MacEachern, Architect, NSAA, RSW, LEED AP, CDT
Abigail MacEachern holds a Bachelor of Environmental Design in Architecture from the University of Colorado at Boulder and a Master of Architecture, along with a certificate in Historic Preservation, from the University of Virginia.
She is currently Director – Design and Technical Management (Buildings) at Pomerleau, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, and also serves as Pre-Construction Director for a major project in Ottawa. In addition, she is the current President of Construction Specifications Canada.
In her role at Pomerleau, Abigail provides strategic leadership in design management and technical direction across complex and alternative delivery building projects. She oversees design integration from pre-construction through project delivery, ensuring alignment among owners, consultants, constructors, and regulatory stakeholders. Her work emphasizes constructability, risk management, document quality, coordination, and procurement, helping bridge the gap between design intent and on-site execution.
Over the course of her 30-year career in Canada and the United States, Abigail has held a wide range of roles in construction, academia, architectural practice, and design leadership. Rather than specializing in a single building type, she has intentionally built broad experience across industrial, institutional, commercial, residential, and major infrastructure projects.
